Who we are
We are a team of researchers and legal service providers from the Access to Justice Lab at Harvard Law School, RISE, and the Therapeutic Justice Foundation. The purpose of our research collaboration is primarily to study the effects of pretrial incarceration. This research will evaluate how incarceration affects various aspects of a person’s life, including future criminal activity, finances, employment, housing, and family stability. The results of this research will help guide new programs and policies for the criminal justice system.
Who we share your data with
Participant data is kept on a secure Harvard University server. Only members of the study team who have been approved by Harvard University will have access to the server. After the study is over, participant personal identifiers will be removed from the data and destroyed.
Where your data is sent
Once personal identifiers are removed from participant identifiable private information collected during this research, that information could be used for future research studies or distributed to another investigator for future research studies.
